NEWS IN A NUTSHELL Golf Tournament Benefits Education Scholarship Blue Diamond hosted 150 golfers at the Huller/Sheller Golf Tournament on April 15. The annual event raised $12,000 for education scholarships. All the proceeds directly benefit the Blue Diamond Growers Foundation, which helps students pursuing a higher education and career in agriculture. The foundation was established in 2011 and has given assistance to more than 100 students living in California’s almond growing regions. “We are extremely grateful for all the support of our partners, grower- owners and team members who make this event a success,” said Charles Crivelli, board director and chair of the foundation for Blue Diamond Growers. “The annual golf tournament allows us to give back to our communities and provide opportunities for the next generation of industry leaders.” The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Foundation. 2018 Blue Diamond Growers Foundation Scholarship recipents: Teresa Coelho – Riverdale , Colton Farro – Turlock , Grace Guthrie – Porterville, and Blake Sousa – Tulare.
